Emily joined the Coastal Conservation League in 2016. She is a proud North Carolina native who enjoys finding solutions for the wide array of issues at the intersection of communities and the environment. She obtained her Master of Environmental Management and certificate in Community-Based Environmental Management from Duke University’s Nicholas School. Prior to that, Emily received her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from the University of North Carolina at Asheville. You’ll often find her working on policy related to climate impacts, water quality and withdrawal, plastics, and natural resource protection. In her downtime, Emily enjoys spending time with her constant companion — her dog Jack — in addition to traveling, cooking, and developing her green thumb.
