The Coastal Conservation League congratulates the residents of Berkeley County. They created the county’s first-ever dedicated local conservation fund to help protect the natural resources, working lands, and rural communities that make Berkeley County such a special place to live, work and play. This is a historic moment that promises to be a game-changer for land protection efforts in Berkeley County. We commend county leaders for their vision and dedication to this initiative and for providing this opportunity for residents to invest in conservation across the county. We look forward to supporting Berkeley County’s effort to create a comprehensive program to strategically utilize this funding to positively impact the people and wildlife that call Berkeley County home.
