Flooding from rising sea levels has plagued Charleston for years, and is getting increasingly worse. Cities from Fort Collins to New York to Austin and–most recently–to Portland, have been commended for their forward-thinking climate adaptation, or resiliency, plans. Charleston’s location makes it very vulnerable to sea level rise and severe storms, and we need a long term plan to adapt to these threats.
We asked the candidates:
What is your vision for climate adaptation in Charleston?
Do you support using “green infrastructure”?
