Here’s your chance to see the sun set on Charleston Harbor and visit nesting pelicans and shorebirds. Join us on Wednesday, June 7 for a memorable boat tour to Crab Bank. Tickets to this event go quickly, and space is limited. Reserve your spot today!

Trained naturalists, including Dana Beach and the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources’ Felicia Sanders, will guide the tour from Shem Creek to the State Seabird Sanctuary. Crab Bank is home to the Pelicam project and at least 15 species of birds, including black skimmers, royal terns, willets and American oystercatchers.

Beginning at 6:30 p.m., we invite guests to get to know Conservation League staff over complimentary beer, wine, water and snacks. The boat will leave from the Coastal Expeditions dock in Mount Pleasant (514-B Mill Street) around 7 p.m. The exact timing might change due to weather, so please be at the dock by 6:30 p.m.

Tickets for the chartered boat tours, led by Coastal Expeditions, are $85. A ticket includes refreshments and a signed copy of DEVEAUX by Executive Director Dana Beach. The book chronicles the annual cycle of reproduction and renewal of seabirds on an ephemeral South Carolina sandbar. DEVEAUX is an essential read for avid birders and coastal advocates.

The boat tour will wrap by 8:45 p.m. Please note this event is open only to adults, 21 or older.

Reserve your spot for the sunset tour today. If you have additional questions, please reach out to Membership and Events Manager Kristy Collins by email at [email protected] or call (843) 725-2062.

Hope you can join us,
