Annual Lowcountry Mushroom Gathering

Our Annual Mushroom Gathering is back for a sixth year!

May the ‘shrooms be with y’all!

Come celebrate with local chefs dishing out mushroom-inspired food and pouring local brews. Enjoy hearing local farmers and foragers sharing their stories and experiences while sipping on some mushroom-infused Cannonborough craft soda! Don’t forget to express your mushroom creativity with our friends from Artist & Craftsman while enjoying some live music!

Purchase your ticket here:

Tradd Cotter, a local professional mycologists and microbiologist will be in attendance, interacting and conversing with guests about all things fungi and food. If you are a forager or mushroom enthusiast and have questions about mushroom identification, please bring your questions and your fungi along to show Tradd, as he can provide you educational information!

Tradd will be speaking before the event at the Culinary Institute of Charleston – Palmer Campus about Mycologists Without Borders: Modern Missionaries of a Shifting Paradigm. To find out more information and purchase a ticket please click here!

Participating chefs and restaurants include but are not limited to:

  • Tres Jackson and Christian Hunter – Sorghum & Salt
  • Bob Cook – Edmund’s Oast
  • James London – Chubby Fish
  • Analisa LaPietra and Greg Garrison – Prohibition
  • Evan Gaudreau – Renzo
  • John Coleman – Parcel 32

  • More to be announced!

Rain or shine. Hopefully it’s a beautiful evening and we’ll be inside and outside, so make sure to dress casually and comfortably.

The Fine Print: Please park across the street from the GrowFood Carolina Warehouse at 995 Morrison Drive. There will be a uniformed officer to guide you across Morrison to the warehouse. Must be 21+ and have valid ID. We love your kids and dogs too, but our event space is not kid and dog-friendly. Please leave the little people and furry critters at home and come enjoy this celebration and toast to MUSHROOMS!
