16th Annual Charleston County Earth Day Festival

The purpose of Charleston County’s Annual Earth Day Festival is to educate Lowcountry residents about environmental issues in a celebratory atmosphere. The festival is a hands-on science-based interactive experience, designed to encourage participants of all ages to develop a deeper understanding of environmental issues. Earth Day was established in 1970 and is now celebrated by a half-billion people around the world. We are doing our part locally by celebrating with families, students, and environmental partners. Our theme this year is “Protect Our Planet, Conserve Resources!”

It’s FUN. And it’s FREE! All festival activities and parking are free, except for food and beverages. Consider arriving by foot, bike, bus or carpool (http://www.ridetricountylink.com or http://www.ridecarta.com). Contact the Recycling Center at (843)720-7111 for more information.
