A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a giving account that allows donors to easily make gifts to the charitable organization of their choice. DAFs are established by an individual or group of donors making an irrevocable, tax-deductible donation through an organization that hosts a DAF program.
The tax deduction is based on when the account is funded, and any fund investment growth is tax-free.
