What is the Original Green?

The original green is  “how people designed before the thermostat age… It is the sustainability that all our grandparents knew by heart.” You may have heard terms like smart growth and thought it was the latest fashion, but design that respects the natural environment is nothing new.  The principles for sustainable design have been around for centuries, and all across the country these principles are being reclaimed –  including in Beaufort County.
