East Edisto: A landmark victory

Yesterday was a monumental day for land conservation in South Carolina. After planning and negotiating for nearly a decade, a major corporation, conservationists, business leaders, government officials, and members of the community came to an agreement that will conserve a swath of land nearly twice the size of Mount Pleasant — forever.
